Simulation Room

Practical training in a safe and innovative environment

The Simulation Room at CEU UCH’s Veterinary Teaching and Research Farm is designed to enable students to develop clinical competencies and technical skills in a safe, controlled and eminently practical environment. This space allows students to practise veterinary procedures before performing them on live animals, as part of a progressive training model using simulation to promote animal welfare.

The facility includes two training rooms equipped with microscopes, anatomical models, and veterinary simulators, specifically designed for clinical, diagnostic, and reproductive training for different types of animal.

Clinical simulation and veterinary learning

The simulation approach allows veterinary students to gain practical experience through the repetition of key techniques and procedures essential to professional practice. Thanks to these teaching resources, students can improve their manual dexterity, strengthen their clinical decision-making, and familiarise themselves with the situations faced by veterinarians in clinical practice.

The room is equipped for training in examination techniques, diagnostic imaging, animal reproduction, venepuncture, treatment administration, and basic clinical handling across a range of animal types relevant to veterinary training.

Veterinary equipment and simulators

The Simulation Room possesses a range of specialized models and simulators for the practical veterinary training, including:

Teaching innovation and animal welfare

The use of veterinary simulators reflects the commitment of the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera to innovation in teaching and to animal welfare. Simulation-based learning enables students to gain confidence and technical precision before working with live animals, thereby improving the quality of practical training and safety during clinical practical training.

The Simulation Room is an integral part of the facilities of the Veterinary Teaching and Research Farm, reinforcing a training model based on practical experience, the use of technology, and excellence in veterinary education.
